Purpose

The purpose of this document is to help guide creators and editors with guidance to meet accessibility standards and best practice principles.

Procedure

• Faculty and staff should be encouraged to request guides through the ServiceNow form.
• Please announce all guide creation projects to the library to avoid duplication and to seek collaboration.

Creating Guides

Please follow these best practices whenever possible when creating or updating LibGuides Research Guides) for libguides.snhu.edu. There may be exceptions, but these are a “rule of thumb” to encourage accessibility, consistency, and quality. Updating Guides that Someone Else Created

If an update includes a significant redesign (e.g. moving boxes, creating pages, etc.) or if you feel that changing content (e.g. changing databases, updating or adding text, removing links, etc.) is necessary please first contact the guide creator/owner to discuss.
