Campus Remote Orientation Guide

Here you can find all you need to know about what returning to SNHU will look like in a virtual environment

Food

Is The Cupboard still open?

Yes, The Cupboard remains open this summer and fall.  Hours mirror the Robert A. Freese Student Center (as of now, 6 am until midnight, seven days a week).  If students, faculty, staff, or alums need ID access, email thecupboard@snhu.edu and their card will be enabled.  All must wear a mask when using the space.

If students aren’t close to campus but need access to food, they can use their home state’s food pantry locator.  The New England finders are listed below:

Technology

What do I do if I don’t have reliable internet or a laptop?

The CARE Team on campus has been able to assist some students through a Loaner Laptop program and by providing wifi hotspots as they are available. If you would like to request either of these support services, please email CAREteam@snhu.edu and someone will get back to you shortly and provide support when possible.

Housing

What if I don’t have anywhere to live and rely on on-campus housing?

A small number of campus residential spaces have been made available this fall for emergency housing for returning students who are currently in unsafe or unstable housing or who don’t have anywhere else to live. Although the deadline to apply has already passed, if you fit these criteria, please email housingquestions@snhu.edu to inquire about availability. Additionally, the CARE Team can help connect students with housing supports in their area; email CAREteam@snhu.edu for assistance.

Counseling

Can I still see my counselor?

Yes, you can still access an  SNHU Wellness Counselor.  All counselors will be offering Telehealth sessions (video platform) during Fall 2020 for students residing within NH.  For students residing outside of NH, you can still contact a Wellness Center Counselor, and they will help to provide resources, supports, and referrals to you in your community.  Remember all students, regardless of location have access to our After-Hours Counselor on Call which can be accessed by the Wellness Phone number (603-645-9679) and pressing option #3.

Wellness

Is the Wellness Center still able to support me if I get sick or need medical assistance?

Yes, Health Services will still be able to be there for students if they are sick, injured, or need medical assistance (but not emergencies--call 911!).  If students live in NH, the Wellness Staff can provide Telehealth visits via Zoom, phone visits, and email visits. Wellness Center Staff can also refill prescriptions that were originally prescribed by Health Service Nurse Practitioners no matter where you live!  The Wellness Center can be reached at 603-645-9679 or at Wellness@snhu.edu.
