Native American Heritage Month: Home

Celebrate Native American Heritage Month this November at the Library!

During Native American Heritage Month, Shapiro Library honors and celebrates the rich cultures, traditions, and histories of Native Americans. We recognize their significant contributions to the United States and  acknowledge the challenges they have faced due to colonization and historical trauma. It is important not just to commemorate the legacy of Indigenous cultures, but also to celebrate those who continue to shape our society, lead their communities, and impact the world today. Let November be a time to educate the public about Indigenous Communities and promote understanding and respect for their heritage with our compiled list of print, audio, and eBook resources. The Shapiro Library also provides access to a variety of other resources including movies on streaming platforms such as Kanopy This link opens in a new windowSwank This link opens in a new window, and more! And, remember, print materials can be shipped to off-campus users anytime via our Off-Campus Library & Interlibrary Loan Service!
