Calculus

Calculus is the mathematics of change, and answers questions such as: How fast is a function growing? This lecture introduces the concepts of limits and derivatives, which allow the slope of a curve to be measured at any point.

This lesson continues the discussion of the derivative by presenting several differentiation formulas that are necessary to master the concepts. Students are taught how to take derivatives of functions containing a constant, polynomial functions, and functions that are added, subtracted, multiplied, and divided by one another.
