Introduction to the Shapiro Library

Use this research guide to learn about the Shapiro Library's services, tools and how to get started using the library.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free cooperative service between libraries that provides current SNHU students, staff, faculty, and emeritus faculty access to books, articles, and other materials that Shapiro Library does not own. Eligible users can request books, articles, and book chapters. Textbooks and items on reserve in the Shapiro Library may not be requested. When searching library databases, if you come across a resource that we do not have, you will be brought to a screen with a link to Request This Item Through Interlibrary Loan. Clicking this form will have you login to the ILL system and will start your request. Users may login to the ILL system independently to create requests, check status and retrieve electronically loaned items.
