About the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are a self-serve option for users to search and find answers to their questions. Users can search by typing in keywords or their question to be taken to an answer and/or results list with answers to our most frequently asked questions. FAQs are available for a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Information on where and how to access resources
  • Research help (e.g. recommended sources, evaluation help, etc.)
  • Help citing sources
  • Information about the library (e.g. policies, contacts, etc.)
  • Information about some University services
  • Troubleshooting help

Most Useful For

  • Finding answers to your questions on your own, particularly when a librarian isn't available to assist you right away
  • Searching for information on specific questions or topics

Cautions

  • There isn't an answer for every question you may have in the FAQs
  • Searches may not show the answer you're looking for if the FAQ is phrased differently or includes terminology other than what you've entered as a keyword or question

Our Recommendation

Consider using the FAQs primarily when one or more of the following apply:

  • You are having trouble finding information on the library's website
  • You are unable to wait for a librarian to help answer your question
  • You want to explore answers to your questions on your own
