SPT/GST 335 (Campus) Gender & Sport

This guide is a companion to the campus course SPT/GST 335 Gender & Sport (Professor Beth Sheehan).

Institutional Review Board (IRB)

Institutional review boards are committees formed to review and monitor biomedical and behavioral research with human subjects. All research involving human subjects must be approved by the IRB before research begins. Visit the SNHU IRB site to learn more, review the research submission process, and download the forms you'll need to get started.

Training to Conduct Research on Human Subjects

The University of New Hampshire offers a training module students may use to earn a certificate to be able to conduct research using human subjects such as conducting focus groups or administering a survey in your course's context.

Click on the link below to begin that module. Once complete, email the copy of your certificate to Professor Sheehan, who is the Primary Investigator (PI) on your IRB proposal.
