Noise Policy
Introduction
The Shapiro Library is committed to providing an environment that is welcoming to all users. While inside the library, users are expected to respect the rights of others and refrain from disruptive behavior.
General Noise
Conversation is welcome and encouraged in most areas, but should be kept to a minimum in and around the Quiet Reading Room. Library users are expected to comply with the instructions of library staff regarding all library policies, including excessive noise or disruptive behavior.
Quiet Reading Room
The Carol West Reading Room is designated as a Quiet Study Area. Absolutely no talking or group work is permitted in this area, and mobile devices should be silenced
