How to Manage Your Library Account in EBSCO Discovery Service


How to Place a Hold on an Item

  1. Use the search bar to find the item you want.

  2. In the search results, locate the Place Hold button under the item you are interested in.

  1. Click Place Hold. A popup will appear.

  1. Choose your preferred pickup location from the dropdown menu.

    • If you would like to pick up this item in person, select "Shapiro Library." If you are a currently enrolled student, faculty or staff member residing outside of Manchester, NH, you may select “Off-Campus Postal Delivery” to have your item delivered by mail to your address on file. Please see the Off-Campus Library Services page for more information. Make sure to confirm your mailing address in the Comments box.

  2. Click Place Hold to place your request.


How to View Your Loans

  1. Click on Holds & Checkouts from the left-hand menu.

  2. View your checked-out items, including their due dates and loan statuses, under Checkouts.

How to Renew an Item

  1. Click on Holds & Checkouts from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Checkouts from the tabs.

  3. Locate the item you want to renew.

  4. Click the Renew button next to the item.

  1. A confirmation message will appear with the new due date.


How to Cancel a Hold

  1. Click on Holds & Checkouts from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Holds from the tabs.

  3. Locate the item you want to cancel.

  4. Click Remove Hold next to the item to cancel the hold.
