Using Shapiro Library Content in the LMS

This guide is for SNHU instructional designers, course developers, deans, faculty and staff that want to use library resources in the LMS and to ensure best practices are followed.

Accessibility @ Shapiro

The Shapiro Library at Southern New Hampshire University is committed to providing all SNHU students, faculty and staff equitable access to the library resources and services they require for academic and research needs.

Working toward equal access, the eLearning Team has created a Library Resource Accessibility Inquiry form in the Service Portal for faculty and staff. Submit requests for accessibility information on library resources related to program & course design or documented student need. Remediation and alternative formats are provided at the discretion of each vendor/publisher. Please note that aggregators of information resources such as ProQuest or EBSCO, who do not publish their own content will need extra time to work with the creator/publisher of the information resource. Our vendors that are publishers and providers such as SAGE, are better able to respond to accessibility requests. Librarians will keep you up to date on the status of the requests, but note that timelines will vary depending on vendor and publisher. If you have any questions, please email the eLearning team at

Use the Service Portal under Service catalog, Library Services and select (or click the link below) for direct access
