In this section you will:

  • Identify tools and databases used for information searches

    • Understand how information systems are organized to access relevant information.

  • Identify strategies to revise and improve information searches

    • Revise and improve encompassing narrowing and expanding the search including Boolean Searching

    • Refine by resource type (ex. peer-reviewed)

    • Finding the resources with the right voices and authority for the purpose

  • Explain the purpose and use of each search strategy

  • Explain the cyclical nature of revising and improving information searches and the impact personal online activity can have on information searches
