I work for the CAC/OAC and my student has an accommodation need for a library resource that is used in their course(s). What do I do?
SNHU accessibility center staff working with students with accommodations may encounter library resources that do not meet the student’s needs. Shapiro Library’s agreements with our vendors include clauses that allow us to ask them to remediate content that does not meet student needs. Please fill out the Library Resource Accessibility Inquiry form linked below. Librarians will reach out to the vendor to request a remediated or alternate file and keep you updated in ServiceNow of the status of that request. Timelines for fulfillment vary depending on vendor and publisher. If the file available through Bookshare or similar service fits your student’s needs, you are welcome to use that file.
