Formatting Dates
In your MLA works cited list, present dates day month year. Month names that are longer than four letters should be abbreviated.
Abbreviation List
- January = Jan.
- February = Feb.
- March = Mar.
- April = Apr.
- May = May
- June = June
- July = July
- August = Aug.
- September = Sept.
- October = Oct.
- November = Nov.
- December = Dec.

Example
If a webpage has a date of October 24, 2015, the date format in the works cited list would be: 24 Oct. 2015.
