Virtual Reality - An Overview

In this section you will find resources to provide you more information on basic Virtual Reality (VR) concepts, hardware components, history, theory, VR app ideas, and real-world applications.

As we begin to explore VR this video series from the O'Reilly publishing company was designed to get you started on your VR development journey. It is intended for programmers, and artists/designers with some programming experience. 3D knowledge is not required, though it is helpful. Experience with a game engine like Unity3D is also a plus. The course covers the basic concepts of virtual reality programming, and a range of tools used to build VR applications for desktop, mobile and web systems.
