Virtual Reality - An Overview


In this section you will find resources to provide you more information on basic Virtual Reality (VR) concepts, hardware components, history, theory, VR app ideas, and real-world applications.

As we begin to explore VR this video series This link opens in a new window from the O'Reilly publishing company was designed to get you started on your VR development journey. It is intended for programmers, and artists/designers with some programming experience. 3D knowledge is not required, though it is helpful. Experience with a game engine like Unity3D is also a plus. The course covers the basic concepts of virtual reality programming, and a range of tools used to build VR applications for desktop, mobile and web systems.
