Public speaking can be nerve-wracking. However, you can prepare in advance and master your public speaking fears. Public speaking tips:

  • Know your audience
  • Rehearse
  • Practice:
    • With distractions 
    • In front of a mirror
    • Body language and movement
    • Tone and projection
  • Know the environment
  • Test the equipment
  • Slow down
    • Take long pauses (take a sip of water)
    • Breathe
  • Make eye contact
  • Project confidence
